Before travel ..............................
On March 1 at 8 a.m., we had coffee and Gipfeli with our friends, neighbours and colleagues at the Birkenweg where we lived. It was very impressive to say goodbye and to leave our home. The coffee and all ingredients have been generously donated by Mingmatic from Sursee. Thanks! Our first day target was in Quarten, a place beside the Walensee, around 120 km away from Sursee, where friends of us are living. This was a hard journey and a rather hilly way. Finally we arrived in Unterterzen, which is only 1 km from Quarten away, but the road went straight up and we couldn’t believe we had to follow it! Like astronauts with our raincoats, we pushed our bicycles up the hill…that was hard work and we were so happy to see a huge panel welcoming us. We spent a cosy evening with our friends.
Unfortunately also the other day was rainy and the clouds were hanging in the beautiful Churfürsten Mountains….However, we followed the road along the Rheintal to Vaduz and gradually the sun appeared. We recognized that Vaduz is a pretty town.
